11-12 BTP Shooting Gallery Silver Crozier/Barrasso/Fuhr/Hasek/Miller/Enroth /9A pretty hard-hitting PC addition this afternoon! I was surpised with some Sunday delivery and knew exactly what was inside the envelope when I opened it up.
17-18 BC By Cards KHL Masks AutographsHey everyone! Another day, another update for the Jhonas Enroth card collection. A few days ago I added this cool autographed card to the collection, one that I didn't even know was out there until recently I was lucky to have snagged this with the help of someone across the pond in Belarus.
New cardboard content alert! Okay, so I decided to add this new Card of The Week category on this blog to get some fresh eyes on some cards I haven't mentioned in awhile, give you some detail on how I picked them up, and maybe some other reasons why I liked or disliked that particular piece of cardboard. I may try for a weekly write up, but for now we'll just take things slow and see were things take us. If you haven't already, you can bookmark this site, connect with me on any of the hobby community forums I am apart of, or just follow me on social media. But you probably knew that already..
....Lets begin! 17-18 Corona 3 Stars #8 Sharangovich/Enroth/Gragnani Added another card to the Enroth PC today! This addition comes from 17-18 Corona once again, with this sweet 3 Stars card that features 3 Dinamo Minsk players. I've seen these Corona cards come out for a good number of years now across the pond. From the base cards to the insert set, Corona cards always look really sharp.
My Jhonas Enroth O-Pee-Chee Retro Blank Back parallel cards from from 2010-2017.I really like player collecting. I really do. I like the hunt to chase down many different cards to try and shorten the wantlist and keep an eye out for those really elusive cards. The easy ones are 'expected' pickups, the rare stuff you'll need to wait and see if/when it surfaces, then there is that third category that really can bug every player collector..... the pesky ones. You know the cards. They aren't particularly valuable, you can search and find a lot out there for a few notable players, but for whatever reason that hole continues to exists in your wantlist. Even when case upon case have been ripped open, nobody has seen that one card you'll been looking for, and it seems to happen every year around the same time like clockwork. Inspired by a older Upper Deck article from May, I decided to write about a specific pesky card: The O-Pee-Chee Blank Backs... Hey everyone, showing off one of my newest PC cards today! This one from mother Russia..
For those that already follow my PC updates on the various hobby sites, this will be old news for you. I figured that since I have started up this blog a few nights ago, a blog post featuring these 4 cards was appropriate. :)
2 weeks ago I received 4 new 1/1's for my Jhonas Enroth collection that are true white whales in every sense of the term. I made a deal with Craig, a former Enroth collector on SportsCardForum. Craig was a huge collector of Enroth's cards for many years, and his collection, especially from 2009-10 (Enroth's rookie card year), was beyond extraordinary. When he made them availible to me, I knew I just had to try and make a deal. Craig has always been great to deal with in the past, and I've made many, many deals with him for Enroth stuff here and there. He handled each deal with so much class and his prices are always more than fair. Thank you Craig! About a week previous to the big 1/1 deal, I had also made a deal with Craig to acquire 15 cards from Enroth's rookie card year to fill some much-needed holes in my PC from that year. Craig had a lot of rarer stuff that had eluded me for years. After we made that 15-card deal, we then made the quick deal for these 4 1/1's he had as well. So lets show off some of these cards, shall we? |
