Hello, welcome to my website!
I started this site in 2017 after encouragement from a few other collectors to post my entire hockey card collection online.
What started out as a fun little project, grew to a online space for not only showcasing my own collection, but sharing all the positivity that this hobby of card collecting can bring.
I started collecting hockey cards in that late 1990's as a kid - Just a few cards here and there. After I gained more of an appreciation for the hobby and where I wanted to take aim with my collection, I started to collect 'for real' again around 2005.
As a goalie, I was always drawn towards the goalie cards. When I started to hone in on a few goalies to collect, I started out with Martin Brodeur and Ed Belfour. After expanding my collection for a few years, I then added smaller collections of Carey Price and Marc-Andre Fleury, furthering the goalie collection even more.
During this time, I was starting to become exposed to online card forums, which gave me much-needed outlet to share my collection with others, but it also became a way for me to get to know other like-minded collectors, people who had the same affinity for these pieces of cardboard like I did.
It was through online card forums like these is where I first uncovered the idea of not only player collecting, but "Super Collecting" a particular player. The idea behind this particular subset of collecting is when a collector aims to posses at least 1 copy of every unique card produced of a single player. Now, this task is totally impossible when participating in today's modern card market - there is just too many low-numbered or 1/1 cards for a collector to have everything, but seeing how far one could get is all part of the fun! That was when I decided it was time to begin this new path with my own collection.
Since 2010, I have dedicated a large part of my card collecting habits to focusing on collecting one player's cards: Jhonas Enroth
Jhonas Enroth was one of the goalies I really enjoyed watching when he was in the NHL (even now, as he plays out the second half of his career in Europe). I always appreciated his technical abilities on the ice, and to make it to the NHL despite his smaller stature compared to other professional goalies, he proved to be a inspiration to others in the hockey world. As luck would have it, I even had the unique opportunity to meet Jhonas while on vacation in Sweden, which was a very cool experience.
If you want to view my collection, you can grab a beverage of your choosing and then head on over to the Enroth Card Gallery page to start.
You'll soon find I've added many layers to this website, including Game-Used Memorabilia, player collections, sets, additional miscellaneous card collections, as well as a blog I run to keep a log of my hobby experiences and document some of the new additions to my collection, or taking time to write about the card sets I enjoy, among other things related to this hobby of mine.
I hope you enjoy viewing my collection and this website as a whole. I've had a lot of fun putting it together! If you'd like to connect, have any questions for me about my collection or anything regarding collecting hockey cards, please send me a message by heading over to the contact page on this site.
