Finally..... card number 500 added at last.
For those who aren't aware, this recent mail day marks my 500th card in total for my Jhonas Enroth hockey card collection. After starting this collection back in 2010/2011 when Enroth was first making his mark with the Buffalo Sabres, it's amazing how much progress I've made on this little (or not-so-little) collection of mine. This Game-Used Glove card was included in the new boxed product from President's Choice Trading Cards (Which was founded by the original In The Game creator Dr. Price), called Solitaire. This product is a collection of 1/1 cards from various athletes across many sports. The cards themselves are stunning in design, while containing some incredible pieces of game-worn materials. After being outbid on the Game-Used Glove Red parallel 1/1, I spotted this Silver Parallel 1/1 on eBay last month and quickly pulled the trigger so I could add this beautiful card to my collection. Besides the awesome CCM Premier glove piece, I really enjoy the artwork used in this product, especially on the goalie cards I've seen from the product so far. The bold and sleek appearance really drives home the card manufacturing quality on these Solitaire cards, all while keeping that high-end look that this brand is known for. Not a bad way to hit a collection milestone I'd say! Have you picked up any cards from Solitaire yet? Let me know in the comments below. Happy Collecting, - Aaron / Creasecollector Afternoon mail days are the best.
Right in the middle of the day... BAM! New cards. Awesome, right? Right. This card is my 11th Jersey Numbered card in my collection, and it's probably one of the shiniest, too. Gotta love a good Mirror Gold Parallel. Short & Sweet for today's blog post. Nothing too fancy. This addition does put me at 499 total Jhonas Enroth cards in my collection...... one away from 500. Stayed tuned for that. - Aaron / Creasecollector The KHL season may be finished, but the KHL-related cards keep on coming in! This latest Enroth addition is from the 2019-20 SeReal KHL 12th Season Collection and features a Script (Facsimile) Autograph. This is basically the equivalent of the KHL'S MVP-type cards we have over here in North America, produced by Upper Deck. Dinamo Minsk participated in their biggest rebranding in the history of the franchise to start the 2019-2020 season, which makes their new cards really pop this year after switching to a brand new colour scheme and team logo. I just love the powder blue on the card, as it really stands out among the other cards in my collection. These Script Autograph cards are rumoured to have around 70 copies of each player, maybe more, making these low-end cards relatively scarce, especially coming from across the globe. I'm glad I was able to secure my copy now before the well dries up on these cards. Though these cards may not come with real autographs, I still really like the look of these types of cards in my collection. Every addition is a good addition! Here's a look at the Script Autograph cards from the last two years of this SeReal product: |
