Over the years involved in this hobby, I've learned that it is impossible to go at it alone, as you will eventually meet different people from all walks of life and various backgrounds who all have one thing in common: Hockey cards. You may meet them at your local card shop (LCS), various card shows, or even online, but these familiar faces or usernames will keep you even more connected to the hobby than you ever could imagine! At least that's how it's been with me and many other collectors I've had the pleasure of getting to know over the years - Yes, even you! I've known Brett for a few years now. Although we've never met in person and are seperated by a few provinces, we have kept up here and there and have commented and each others hobby blogs that we both run to share our passion for this fantastic hobby. For those who don't know, Brett is the collector when comes to all things Trevor Linden. Although he might take the more humble approach and name a few other Linden collectors in his place, I'd be first to put him at the top. Not only is his Linden collection one of the best around, but the positivty he brings to his interactions with other collectors, and of course his entries on his blog, is nothing short of inspirational. It's one of the reasons I started my own blog here in 2018 and have tried to keep it populated to this day. For those who want to keep up with Brett's blog and all his cool Linden finds, you can find him at: My Hockey Card Obsession Brett contacted me a little while ago with news of a big pickup at a card show he attended. He spotted this 2009-10 Upper Deck The Cup Artifacts Black 1/1 Printing Plate of Enroth and made no hesitations about it. Like the good guy he is, he made sure to pick it up for me right then and there, knowing I'd be interested in it for my collection. So awesome! With Brett's help, I now have landed the 73rd 1/1 card in my Enroth card collection. Within that count, this is my 23rd Rookie Masterpieces printing plate from 2009-10 The Cup. Amazing! Just goes to show you that friends are worth making in this hobby. Not only can they help inspire you, but they can other help out your collection when you least expect it, and that is pretty cool in my book. Happy Collecting, - Aaron / creasecollector
