UPDATE: As a sudden twist of fate, it looks like Panini will continue to keep honoring Expired redemptions, as long as they still have the card. If they don't, your redemption will be replaced with Panini Points. The number of Points will be determined by Panini.
This is a welcomed piece of news for collectors after it appeared Panini were putting a stop to their very generous redemption program after all these years.

It has come to my attention that Panini will no longer honor expired redemptions. What a sad day indeed.
It was probably inevitable, but due to Panini's long-standing praise in the hobby for doing what no company wanted to do, which was honoring these expired redemptions for collectors over the years, making their older products still desirable to this day, has seem to have abruptly stopped this process.
For hockey collectors like myself, I suppose this isn't as much of a blow due to the fact their hockey inventory was probably running low anyways, but for collectors in others sports like Football, Basketball or Soccer, this is a tough pill to swallow moving forward.
