About a week ago, I was searching some items up on Tradera when I noticed this new listing pop up. I was immediately curious because it was a card I hadn't seen before. While it doesn't happen often, I'm always up for learning about new cards I didn't previous know the existence of. After planning my attack, and setting the opening bid, I set my notifications so I could check in on the auction in a few days time and went about my day.
A few days go by and when the final moments were winding down in this auction, the price for this card popped up way beyond what I had expected it to. Looks like we have ourselves an old fashion bidding war, folks. Luckily for me, I placed a fairly high enough bid with about a second left in the auction to secure this card for my collection.
What your looking at is a Team Issued Photo Card (i'd assume) from Team Sweden (aka 'Tre Kronor'). I assume it's a team issued item because of the quality of card stock used (not photo paper) and the unaltered candid headshot used on this card, which is harder for the general public to produce, plus images like these are primarily used for team giveaways and/or autograph material for the players to use when teams do autograph signings with the public, etc. So I'm fairly confident that this is what I'm looking at. European cards are always tougher to find information of.
This card is also 6 inches tall and 4 inches wide. While just slightly bigger than your standard trading card, it also falls into the same dimensions as other Team Sweden Issued cards I've seen previously.
Happy Collecting, everyone!
