Today's blog post features my second autograph from the exceptional 2008-09 Upper Deck Legends Masterpieces Brushstrokes autograph set, which features Maple Leafs legend and HHOF member, Johnny Bower!

This marks my first Johnny Bower autograph in my collection. I crossed paths with him briefly back at the Expo a few years ago before he passed. What a humble person he was. Wherever he went, he was always among one of the most popular Leafs alumni it seemed. 

When looking for one of his many autographed cards, I wanted to land something special. A quick eBay search led me to this awesome Brushstrokes autograph from the 2008-09 Upper Deck Legends Masterpieces set, which is just a gorgeous set overall. As an added bonus, this card is the Blue Border parallel numbered /25, conveniently matching the Maple Leafs theme. As always was the case with Bower, you can always count on a consistent and pristine looking autograph that presents itself on the card. Wouldn't it be great if more athletes signed like that?

This will probably be my last pickup up 2023, and it's not too shabby!
