What Once Was Lost... Has Now Been Found

It's funny how the hobby works out sometimes. 

Sometimes you win cards, and sometimes you lose out on cards. In another rare instance, cards you lost out on sometimes will end up in your collection when you'd least expect it. That is what has happened here with this 1/1 card!

If you've been a reader of this blog for awhile now, you may remember my post back in 2019 about The One That Got Away, and how the chance to own such a big piece had just slipped through my fingers. 

Well, not today...

After being tagged in a post by a very helpful collector on Instagram a few weeks ago, I immediately caught this card out of the lineup and couldn't believe my eyes (like 10 million fireflies).... The 1/1 that I had lost out on was in a LA Kings collection! 

​Once I had connected with this Kings collector, a good friend and co-host of mine had also reached out to him as well, hoping to strike a trade with this member in return for the Enroth card making it's way to me. Thanks, dude!

The deal was quickly finalized and now this card sits in my collection all these years later after missing out on it initially. Man, now that is awesome.

This card will serve as a continuous reminder that some things can take time, but do work out well in the end.
