I stumbled upon someone else's Wallet Card on the internet recently and it got me thinking: How many collectors still carry around a wallet card?
I've been carrying one around roughly since 2007, when I first started collecting. Those times I remember very fondly, especially when I look back on it now.
Each time I've switched wallets, this little card was transfered into its new home and carried around with me everywhere I go. To be honest, I usually forget it's there half the time, especially now as I get older, but when I do, a lot of fun memories come flooding back.
When I was playing hockey, me and my dad would ride to games all the time. One day after a practice or a game, my dad told me that I "Play like Marc-Andre Fleury" due to my quickness, atheticism and flexibility in the net. To get that kind of compliment from my dad meant a lot to me at that time, and for him to mention one of my favourite goalies was pretty neat, too.
A day later I smushed this card in my wallet and it's been with me ever since. Ah, the memories.
So while it doesn't look like much, it probably is one of my favourite cards in my entire collection.
Do you have a wallet card? If so, what is it? Do you have any pictures (it doesn't have to be the card) or stories to go along with it? I'd love to hear some.
