As a fellow Hockey Moderator on SportsCardForum, I've had the pleasure of knowing about Sean's legendary Bill Ranford collection, along with his All-Time Edmonton Oilers Collection, for many years now.
As a goalie collector myself, hearing about Sean's new Ranford pickups was always something I quickly resonated with and I was stoked to feature him on my blog this afternoon. The Goaltending Museum.
Remember that name. I say remember it because I'm sure it will be coming to a city or Expo near you at some point, if it hasn't already. Bruce's Goaltending Museum is something that I've had the pleasure to watch expand for a good number of years now. From his monthly pickups to his show set ups, Bruce's outspoken passion for his Goaltending Museum knows no limits. If you're a fan of goaltending, game-used memorabilia, hockey history, or a combination of all 3, then hold onto your hats and enjoy the ride in the newest instalment of Collectors Corner: The 10th Edition of Collectors Corner features Steven's super collection of none other than #10 Pavel Bure. When it comes to the 'Russian Rocket', everyone knows who he is by the nickname alone. Bure's skill set on the ice made him into one of the best players of his era.
In Steven's case, he decided Bure would be his number one focal point of his card collecting journey. After a few tweets between me and Steven a little while ago, I jumped at the chance to feature Steven's Pavel Bure collection: As someone who really enjoys hearing stories about how card collections came to be, I thought Josh's story on what inspired his Nathan Horton card collection was extra special. To have that close connection to a player in your small town make it to the NHL is a story that always ages well. As far as the collections go, Josh has one of the best out there and one that I've personally enjoyed following along with for years. Enjoy the 9th edition of Collectors Corner! Collector's Corner #8: Lee Stempniak, Cal Clutterbuck, plus an Avalanche worth of Stastny cards.5/1/2020 Super Collecting is a term that get's thrown around a bunch, but when you see one, you just know.
Collecting one player is often enough for most, but what do you do when you have more than one favourite player? Well, in Derrick's case, you super collect them both, of course. Allow me to introduce Derrick and his two super collections of Lee Stempniak & Cal Clutterbuck: As a fellow card blogger, Brett's attention to detail about how he chooses to express himself in this hobby has always interested me. I've really enjoyed not only seeing, but reading about his new pickups for his collection over the years. I just knew Brett was going to be all hands on deck when I approached him about featuring his personal collection on my blog and he did not disappoint. Brett not only has a way with words, but a way of player collecting, too. I'll let his passionate card collection pave the way from here on out with his impressive collections featuring Trevor Linden, goalie masks, and more! I hope you enjoy my newest edition of Collectors Corner! The Trevor Linden CollectionCollector's Corner #6: One Collector's Hometown Pride Sparks Maple Leafs Collection (Borje Salming)4/20/2020 As you can probably guess from speaking with me for any amount of time, I'm a huge Toronto Maple Leafs fan. Born and raised out side of Toronto,my hand was pretty much forced into what team you're going to be cheering for. As far as cards go, while I have gone a different direction in my own PC and do not hoard Leafs cards, I always do enjoy seeing team/player collectors who do focus on the Maple Leafs. This next collector featured here fits that bill perfectly. Whether you're a Leafs fan or not, I think you'll really appreciate his next collection. I'm super stoked to feature on this blog due to satisfy my inner crazy Leafs fan. Back again with another Collector's Corner post! This week I am featuring Joe's extraordinary Larry Murphy collection. I've known Joe for awhile on Hobby Insider and he can always be your go-to guy on there to talk cards. I mean, we all talk about cards, but Joe's just really shines through when he speaks about his collection or encouraging your own collecting habits, so I was more than happy to help feature his collection when he inquired about it.
Let the Larry Murphy show and tell begin... As a nice little twist, the 4th edition of my Collector's Corner segment will feature it's very first Set Collector on the blog! One of many I think. Hearing Bradey speak about his Acetate Young Guns collection, you could just feel the passion that fuels his chase for these short printed, elusive cards that have been relatively new to the rookie card card lineup these past few years. I hope you enjoy Bradey's collection! I know I sure did.
