At the conclusion of the tournament, Sweden's gold-medal-winning run broke the 27-year-old "home-ice curse" leading up to that tournament.
Jhonas Enroth was named the best goaltender of the tournament, along with making the tournament All-Star Team. He led all goaltenders in Save Percentage (95.63%) and Goals Against Average (1.15).
